About Us

Hello we are Kelsey and Colton, and we live in Holly Springs NC about 30 minutes south of Raleigh! I am a stay at home mom and Colton is a proud service member of the United States Air Force. We have a one year old daughter and grew up loving dogs, and we want our daughter to have the same opportunity.

Our love for dogs started when we were young, Colton grew up with labs and I grew up with doodles! After getting my own Aussiedoodle in my early 20's I quickly found my heart dog. I spent about 2 years training Oakley as my psychiatric service dog where she helped me overcome a hard time in my life. After that, I wanted to give other people a chance to experience such a smart, caring and personable dog. Oakley was the foundation female here at Whiskey River Doodles and is now retired. She lives with us and keeps an eye on her new baby sister!

Starting this program with my once in a lifetime dog will forever hold a special place in my heart. Because of this, I strive to raise my puppies the correct way, with an emphasis on early socialization and temperament testing. I have an extensive background in obedience training and dog behavior, so If you decide to become apart for the Whiskey River family, I am here for you every step of the way. As we continue to grow, keeping my "why" at the forefront of my program will always be of utmost importance.
